What am I doing here?
I want a better Neukoelln for all of us!
I want real climate action now!
And I fight for a better bike infrastructure!
What have I done?
My first political activities included demonstrations against the neo-fascist party NPD in the 1990s. Later, I joined the Young Greens because I felt the urge to “do something” for a better climate and the environment. After years of activism inside and outside the Greens, some climate camps, direct actions against coal and nuclear, I am still angry about the little effort by the governing parties. We need to do more! This is why I am running for the Berlin City Council (Abgeordnetenhaus).
Born and raised in former East Berlin (Köpenick), I was eager to get out and went to Bavaria and Sweden to study politics. In 2008 I moved by to Berlin and got drawn into the life and excitement of Neukoelln. Lucky for me, I got a job with the Green Party (advisor on energy/climate policy) that allows me to combine activism and professional duty. Apart from all the politics, I go out biking, dancing. I also like to cook or support the FC Union Berlin.
